I was born at Fort Hood Texas. Unlike many military families I’ve only lived in two states, Texas and New Jersey. I spent my elementary years growing up in South West New Jersey, and my family moved to Cedar Park, Texas when I was in the 6th grade. I am a graduate of Leander High School. I received a Bachelor’s Degree from Texas A&M University, a Masters in Public Administration from Texas State University, and my Juris Doctorate from Texas Southern Thurgood Marshall School of Law. To sum it all up, I’m a Texas boy with a Texas accent with a touch of South Jersey. I’m an Aggie, a Bobcat, and a Tiger, with a BS, MPA, and a JD.
I started my path to becoming a lawyer answering phones in the Williamson District Clerk’s Office. I was the court clerk for a variety of courts in Williamson County. I worked as an office assistant in a County Court at Law. Eventually, I became a legal assistant for the University of Texas at San Antonio and then a San Antonio Defense Attorney. Each step of the way I learned as much as I could about legal and judicial administration.
I have a true passion for criminal defense work. But that passion led me to wanting to provide assistance to people in financial crisis as well. I’ve spent all of my professional career as an attorney in areas of law where I thought I could be the most help to everyday people. When people ask me what type of business I’m in, I tell them I’m in the people business. I’ve had the privilege of meeting so many wonderful people on my path, and I hope to continue on that path.
In my spare time you can catch me with my friends and family on the square in Georgetown, or working out at Liberty Hill CrossFit, or out at the Lake with my family.
